The firm's principal area of practice is litigation, but we also handle general practice matters, including commercial agreements, debt collection, wills and probate, landlord and tenant matters, setting up private companies, and applications for trademarks.

 

PERSONAL INJURY

The firm’s major area of practice is in Personal Injury litigation and our experienced team handle all types of cases ranging from construction site accidents, traffic accidents, medical negligence and victims of assault.  We have been successful in negotiating hundreds of settlements in Employees’ Compensation and Common Law personal injuries damages.  We also act for insurance companies in defending personal injuries' claims.

 

CONSTRUCTION & COMMERCIAL & INSURANCE LITIGATION 

The firm has dealt with disputes through the court process and arbitration, including international arbitrations.

 

DISCRIMINATION

The firm's practice has been at the forefront of major cases involving discrimination and equal opportunities legislation litigation, including landmark litigation under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance against major corporations.  We have successfully  negotiated resolution of disability discrimination cases.

 

IMMIGRATION

The firm has considerable expertise in Immigration Law and provides advice and assistance in respect of employment visa applications, change of status from visitor visas to employment visas, dependant visas, investors visas, extensions of stay, appeals immigration offences, deportation and removal cases and judicial reviews.

 

FAMILY LAW

The firm has a strong Family Law practice and offers clear and sympathetic advice on all aspects of  of Family Law including:

CRIMINAL

Massie & Clement also have extensive experience in criminal law cases and handle all aspect of criminal litigation no matter how serious or minor the charge.  We have defended our clients on charges including murder, drug trafficking, complex commercial fraud, corruption and ICAC matters. We have represented our clients in all the jurisdictions in Hong Kong:  the Magistrates Courts and District Courts on our own and instructed barristers accordingly in the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal and Court of Final Appeal.
