Principal Areas of Practice
The firm's principal area of practice is litigation, but we also handle general practice matters, including commercial agreements, debt collection, wills and probate, landlord and tenant matters, setting up private companies, and applications for trademarks.
The firm’s major area of practice is in Personal Injury litigation and we have been successful in bringing and defending claims and negotiating many hundreds of settlements in Employees’ Compensation and Common Law personal injuries damages.
CONSTRUCTION & COMMERCIAL & INSURANCE LITIGATION The firm has dealt with disputes through the court process and arbitration, including international arbitrations.
DISCRIMINATION The firm has been involved in a number of cases involving anti-discrimination legislation in Hong Kong, including leading cases relating to the Sex Discrimination Ordinance.
The firm has considerable expertise in Immigration Law and provides advice and assistance in respect of employment visa applications, change of status from visitor visas to employment visas, dependant visas, investors visas, extensions of stay, appeals immigration offences, deportation and removal cases and judicial reviews.
The firm has a strong Family Law practice and offer a broad range of advice covering all aspects of Family Law, including separation, divorce, custody, wardship and adoption and jurisdictional disputes.
CONSTITUTIONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE LAW The firm undertakes work involving challenges or appeals in respect of decisions of Government departments and public bodies and have been instructed in numerous judicial review cases.
Massie & Clement also have extensive experience in criminal law cases and handle all aspect of litigation including murder, complex commercial fraud, corruption and cases involving crimes against property and the person.
